HER Victory is a program operated by the newly established Her Victory Society Calgary (2024). Since HER Victory’s inception in 2021 by
the Victory Foundation, this program has experienced tremendous support from the community and donations that in 2024 the program can now serve independently from the Victory Foundation. They continue to operate from the Eastside Victory Outreach facility, located in Forest Lawn.
In 2021, while under the Victory Foundation umbrella, the need to provide supports for street women and girls, who have been sexually exploited, experienced domestic violence, or are in crisis in their lives. Their goal is to reach all affected females in this city and restore hope in their lives.
They are open at the Eastside Victory Outreach in Forest Lawn, Tuesday to Thursday weekly, and provide hot showers, emergency food and clothing, hot meals, a safe place to rest, receive care packages, basic testing, support, and referrals to other resources.
HER Victory partners with community services such as hospitals, police, and shelters to assist and advocate for these women and girls.
Each woman's situation is unique, so their help is tailored with building trusting relationships. They have seen women who had nowhere else to go come to them and regain their dignity and hope. Some have even rebuilt their lives, with jobs, families, and volunteering to help others.
The Lord is changing their hearts and providing abundant joy in their lives and bring hope.
